A Georgian Christmas at Belsay Hall

The Georgian Christmas season was a time of great celebration with visiting, gift and charity giving, balls, parties, masquerades, play acting, games and lots of food. Our costumed duo Hautbois get the festivities under way “with pomp and ceremony” in their performance of advent hymns from the 18th century. The programme sets the scene for a warming Georgian Christmas celebration.
